Tonight at the I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, drivers, fans and law enforcement officers honored fallen Loudon County Sheriff’s Office deputy Sgt. Chris Jenkins. The race hosted the family of Jenkins and deputies from the sheriff’s office.
The race was kicked off with a Loudon County patrol car and Hummer serving as the pace cars carrying the family of Sgt. Jenkins. Behind the pace vehicles was LCSO Sgt. Brian Smith driving a car with a vinyl wrap and American Flag honoring Jenkins.
Following up the opening ceremonies was a fly over by Knox County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit.
