The Loudon County Sheriff’s Office successfully took Thomas Fortune into custody after a brief standoff in Philadelphia, Tennessee.

While on patrol in the Donaldson Road area, Deputy Nate Reagan spotted Fortune outside a home and recognized him as a wanted individual. Upon seeing Deputy Reagan, Fortune fled into the residence and barricaded himself inside.

LCSO swiftly established a perimeter and deployed the SWAT team. After issuing commands, Fortune surrendered and was safely arrested without further incident.

This is the same individual involved in the incident earlier this week that led to a temporary lockdown of Philadelphia Elementary School. As a precaution, the school was briefly locked down again during the standoff but has since returned to normal operations.
