Last week 13 deputies from the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office along with officers and deputies from the Lenoir City Police Department, Loudon Police Department, Knoxville Police Department – TN, Pigeon Forge Police Department, Roane County Sheriff’s Office and Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office – TN, completed the 40 hour Crisis Negotiator Course put on by the FBI – Knoxville.

The course, hosted by the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office, is designed to teach students negotiation techniques along with active listening skills to aid in real-life negotiations. Students were given classroom-based instruction, debriefs and scenario-based training throughout the week.
