Loudon County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officers participated in Active Shooter Training that was held at North Middle School over fall break.

Dwight Williams, instructor with the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy (TLETA) in Nashville, brought a training simulator and let LCSO SROs utilize it to train in different active shooter and school threat scenarios. Training like this is vital to help prepare these deputies in making split-second decisions that could be the difference between life or death.

Thank you, Dwight Williams and TLETA, for your time and the use of your equipment! A special thank you to Loudon County Schools Director Mike Garren and North Middle School Principal Kayla Vaughn for allowing us to host this important training at North Middle School!
