Deputy Matt Hicks graduated from the Blount County Sheriff’s Office Regional Law Enforcement Training Academy this morning.


Hicks, along with 42 other law enforcement officers from all over Tennessee, completed over 400 hours of intense training aimed at preparing them for their new journey as a peace officer.


Prior to his appointment as a School Resource Officer, Hicks spent 2.5 years in the Corrections Division.


Deputy Hicks is being assigned to Loudon High School and will begin in his school in the next couple weeks.
