Last week Sheriff Jimmy Davis and Operations Chief Chris Hutchens, a Greenback resident, joined the Greenback Mayor DeWayne Burchfield, Lieutenant Governor Randy McNally, U.S. Representative for Tennessee Tim Burchett, State Representative Lowell Russell, Willie Franklin with Lost Vets Rescue and many more to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the City of Greenback and a Veterans Memorial Dedication.
During the ceremony a Veterans Memorial was dedicated to Greenback and placed in front of the Greenback Community Center.
As part of the ceremony and dedication of the memorial, Retired Air Force Captain William A. Robinson was the key note speaker. Robinson was the longest-held prisoner of war during the Vietnam War. He spent more than 7 years in captivity.
Congratulation Greenback on your 100 year anniversary and Veterans Memorial.
