Four additional members of the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team completed Basic SWAT School hosted by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and instructed and taught by the Humphreys County Sheriff’s Office and supported by the Tennessee Tactical Officers Association – TTOA.

The Tennessee Tactical Officers Associations purpose of the organization shall be to develop, expand, maintain and enhance the professional capabilities of individual officers, small teams, units and departments in law enforcement operations in the administrative, operational and emergency domains.

The 4-day (40 Hr) Basic SWAT School consisted of physical fitness training, firearms training, hostage rescue operations, building and room clearing techniques along with other specialized training tasks.

Following the completion of these four additional members, the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team currently has eleven (11) Basic SWAT Certified Operators.
